All "common names" have been carefully researched: first and foremost by checking against other credits using the NameVariants plugin, followed by a Google search, and finally by checking at various on-line resources like allmovie.com, tcmdb.com, imdb.com, wikipedia.org and bfi.org.uk. | | Posted: | | | | The current profile has a number of director of photography credits for "William Gereghty, credited as William F. Gereghty". Further research has shown me that this crew member is actually far more often credited WITH his middle "F." initial - as he is here all 8 times! - than he is WITHOUT it. He's also credited as William F. Gereghty numerous times throughout the other seasons of 'Magnum P.I.'. Therefore I suggest using the full "William F. Gereghty" as his common name, rather then leaving that middle initial out. As a result, he can simply be entered here, all fifteen times, AS CREDITED. Further research has shown me that I don't own a single profile in which he's actually credited WITH this middle initial - instead, he's credited WITHOUT it every single time, including these three! I therefore suggest using "Robert Silva" as his "common name", and as a result, he can simply be entered here AS CREDITED - all three times. Note that he also appears various times, again without a middle initial, throughout the first and fourth 'Magnum P.I.' seasons. | | Posted: | | | | The current profile contains a number of art director entries for "Louis Montejano, credited as Lou Montejano". Further research has shown me that this use of the "credited as" feature is not necessary - have a look at Invelos' own "credit lookup" tool results: Lou Montejano: 51 entries, Louis Montejano: 7 entries. Since "Lou Montejano" clearly is the most-credited form, he can simply be entered AS CREDITED into this particular profile.
