This happened the other day when buying Ultraviloet - Unrated extended cut At the checkout the clerk says "So you like dirty movies...." Well.... I am thinking dirty? What's "dirty" except for some impure thoughts about Milla Jovovich, there is nothing "dirty" about it.... Anyway... just when did extended / director's cuts become "Unrated" cuts??

You could always ask them to 'Dust it' for you before you purchase.

I picked this one up because someone told me it was very pretty (we had just upgraded to a 56" widescreen) and because my wife was interested.  If this is a "dirty" movie, I might just have to pop it in sooner rather than later.

Seriously, if a sales clerk made a comment like that about a movie I was buying, I'd be seriously pissed.  That's incredibly rude.

The movie did have some explosions in it and lots fo death so I guess that would get stuff dirty

As for Unrated, Extended, adn Director's cut, I guess it depends on what the makers of the DVD want to use.  Though unrated is not always directors cut.

I don't mind if they have a comment that leads into a discussion of films    but you do not want criticism of your purchase
