Trying to work out what is and is not proper genre classification I came across the wiki page on film genres.  The breakdown on categories of genre would seem to be quite useful for our purposes, with some tweaks (including rolling in my previous feature request on Medium categories).  So, instead of the current three loose genre selections, set up several category delineations.  The listings here are pretty much all drawn from current or proposed Genres.  A + marks a value not currently in the genre list (though several are proposed in Ken's thread).  First draft on the idea, just throwing it out there.

Original release format (pretty self-explanatory):

Television
+Direct-to-Video
+Live Performance
+Silent Film (not sure if it should go here)


Target Audience

Adult (polite way of saying p0rn)
+Children's (somewhat vague, but doesn't fit in well with other genre categories)
Family (very vague, but doesn't fit in well with other genre categories)
+General (everything else, default)


Film Style - In theory, each of these should be mutually exclusive of each other, or at least as much as any such categorization system can be, and should describe the more generalized style of the film.  This is the set that I'm least certain of.  (pick 1)
