| | Posted: | | | | Corrected cast and crew, exactly as credited, all taken from the actual credits, using the new "credited as" feature where necessary. All "common names" have been carefully researched: first and foremost by checking against other credits using the NameVariants plugin and the Invelos database credit lookup tool, followed by a check of the "credited as" database, a Google search, and finally by checking at various on-line resources like allmovie.com, bfi.org.uk, imdb.com, nndb.com, tcmdb.com and wikipedia.org. Note that I had to remove three "effects" editors, as these are not allowed in DVD Profiler. Also note that I had to remove two "scenes deleted" actors. Further research has shown me that (out of 11 credits) I don't own a single DVD in which he's actually credited as "Donald" - instead, he's credited as "Don" every single time, like he is here. A check at Invelos' own "credit lookup" tool confirms my suspicions: Don Peterman: 195 entries, Donald Peterman: 145 entries. It's clear that "Don Peterman" is the most-credited form, and among those alledged "Donald Peterman" entries are still many, many IMDb-mined incorrect entries (for instance: all copies of 'Cocoon', 'Get Shorty' and 'Men in Black', in which he's also credited as "Don"). Anyway, since he's already mostly credited as "Don Peterman", he can simply be entered as credited in this particular profile. Further research has shown me that this use of the "credited as" feature is not necessary - have a look at Invelos' own "credit lookup" tool results: Peter Larkin: 153 entries, Peter S. Larkin: 84 entries (with still many incorrect ones among them). Since "Peter Larkin" is clearly the most-credited form, he can simply be entered AS CREDITED into this particular profile. | | Posted: | | | | Corrected (uncredited) actor name: since he's (uncredited), his name can't come from the film credits, but has to come from somewhere else - preferably from somewhere reliable. His own official website at www.reedogarvin.com does indeed show this 'Get Shorty' credit in his resume, and it says his name is "Reed O'Garvin", not "Brian Reed Garvin". Due to some "behind-the-scenes" changes in DVD Profiler v3.6 (if you’re interested: it’s about the order of the HTML-tags for bold/italics) the contribution system perceives some difference between the local and online versions of the same overview.
