We all have at least one thing in common: we love this beautiful program.

So with things now resolved, I would like to ask you all to make this forum a place of fun but most of all of respect for each other. I don't wanna see any name calling, ranting, shouting or newbie bashing here anymore.

Thank you.

A nice wish, right up there with the hope for world peace.

Not gonna happen, though, it's simply the nature of the beast

Not necessarily. I am a member of other forums where the atmosphere is better, especially when it comes to helping out newbies.

Keep hope alive sugarjoe. Just a random act of kindness will help out. Lets start. Everyone look to your left or right and shout "BE NICE OR I WILL TIE YOUR SHOELACES TOGETHER"        Sorry had to do it.

How about we come up with some ways to train these newbies.  After all, we train puppies and kittens to behave properly.  Right?  I've got some ideas if anybody wants to hear them.

I've never been able to housebreak a puppy. And beyond a litterbox, has anyone ever trained a kitty?

Train a kitty? It is the other way around! They become Lord and Master (Lady and Mistress for the females out there) of the household and train every one to their liking! And it doesn't take long either a matter of days usually (in my experience at least)!

I've trained my kitty's'. I've trained them to sleep on my pillow and push me off. I've trained the to ignore me. And I've trained them to demand food on their schedule not mine. And I've even trained them to jump up on my leg when I am wearing shorts so they can cause pain and draw blood.

Oh, you mean train them to do what I want...

Remember the difference between a cat and a two year old is, that two year olds grow out of the everything is mine stage.

I've trained every cat I've ever had, some more successfully than others, but well enough.  Takes a lot of patience, and a certain amount of insight into the feline psyche.

As far as dogs go, though, they're easy.  They'll do almost anything for food, and they're dumb as rocks - pack mentality and all that.

YYYYEESSSSS!!!

wouldn't it be great if someone asks a question because they don't know the EXACT wording to search for or maybe don't have 2 hours to search through 10,000 posts (90% of which are off-topic or in the wrong place or are just stupid idiots ranting that that question was once asked a year ago) and someone....

actually....

just...

ANSWERS IT!!!!!!!

wow, what a world it could be!

I wish everyone could agree that if they don't want to take the time to answer a simple question, shut the f up and go to the next thread

I would LOVE to see one of these people that bash people in the forums call AAA when they're out of gas and when the tow truck driver shows up, the driver tells them:
"you should have searched for a gas station before you ran out"
and then LEAVE THEM THERE!!!!!!

Just remember dogs think YOU are God because you feed them and play with them...
