I know that most could possibly be verified using your standard dvd player on your computer, but I also suspect that some of them mistakenly identifies Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono as Dolby Digital Stereo... That'll teach me to proof read things DVD Shrink does a good job of ID'ing audio tracks, and I use my AV receiver as a backup since it picks up everything up to 6.1 DTS. | | | John

I understand, that that one can only be dtermined "manually". The below instructions were posted on the IVS forum a while back: Quoting whoever posted this before: Quote:
Load it into a sound editor and invert one channel. If you get zero output (you may get a very week signal if they are not matched 100%) it's mono. If you hear anything it's stereo.
Using nero wave editor.
Load a chunk of the audio, you sould see two wave forms.
Select 'tools', 'stereo processor'

| | Posted: | | | | I always use my Receiver the detect of if a stream is 2.0 Stereo or Surround. I have a Harman Kardon AVR 335. If it's Stereo it will display 2/0/.0 DS-OFF, If it's Surround it will display 2/0/.0 DS-ON.  | | |  |

I have never found DVD Decrypter to be wrong. You just have to know how to interpret what it tells you! John, But the information supplied in complement with others softwares do not allow interpretation better you? |
