For the last 2 days I keep losing my DVD data. It removes all data to zero DVDs. I have downloaded it from online twice and completely removed and reinstalled the system twice. I also used the database repair utility without success. After I download or reinsall the data there are no images downloaded - I then download those. Things are okay for a while but it keeps happening. Why is this occuring and what can I do to prevent it from happening again? Any help/advice would be greatly apprechiated - this is driving me crazy!! Please keep instructions simple because I am NOT computer or technically inclined. Thank you. Kathy

Hi Kathy,

No idea why you lose your data. Your data should be in your My Documents\DVD Profiler\Database\Default\ directory unless you have specified a different location. You might try to open the database when Profiler starts with nothing in it. File/Open Database.

But, you should use the backup function as soon as you get everything reloaded. It is much faster to restore a backup than to download your online and refresh all images.

To backup: File, Backup Database. Pick a location and filename (I use "backup 1" to "backup 20" for a little history/go back ability) Leave all of the check boxes ticked for a complete backup.

Hope that helps, feel free to ask questions.

Do you have any soft- or hardware running that prevents you from permanently save data on drive c:?
Because that is where the data is saved by default.
Try File - Open Database - New Database and save that on drive d: or wherever you usually save your data.
