This was brought to you by the totally pointless posting society, the society that boosts your post count for no real reason. It is also sponsered by the "!" as seen in the subject line, and as any PTerry fan will tell you, 5 "!"'s is not healthy!!!!!!

That was the General Point
The story of General of the Army Point is a long and interesting one. He started life as a full stop ".", and as a child he was always bullied. (see ";" and ":")
It was in his teens, that he decided to join the army, and as he qualified, he joined the US Army (it has more ranks to move up, bear with me). Starting his career as Private Point, he trained hard and played harder, but he and his buddies always rested well, and could line up like no one else "..........."
His promotion to Private 1st Class Point followed shortly, as he was allways turned out to the highest standards, and never shook his duty.
It was the promotion to Corporal Point that really started to get him noticed by the top brass, and he was used to end many a parade, to make a "Point" it was said.
Point raced through the ranks of Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Sergeant 1st Class, 1st Sergeant, Master Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer and it was thought that the promotion to Chief Warrant Officer Point would be the highest he would achieve.
This would of been true, but for a battlefield promotion, he perfomed with great bravery, ending the 2nd World War in his own style (That being the full stop of the last line of the terms of Surrender)
On return to the USA, he was decorated with a Congressional Medal of Honor, and given an instant promotion to Major Point. It was often mentioned that if the Army needed to say something, it said it with a Major Point.
Anyway, to cut this long story short, to get to the "Point" (too late), General of the Army Point recenty retired and is now enjoying his free time in Florida (Where he played at being a Chad for a while, but.. didn't really enjoy being part of Govenment like that)
Now, what was the Point?

[Edit: the more astute of you will notice I didn't use all the ranks, despite choosing to use the US Army.... I got bored  ]

It was whilst drinking Whiskey, that my partner and I danced both the Tango and the Foxtrot.

And if you find that offensive, you have a dirty mind
