I don't know what i'm doing wrong.
I'm adding a new dvd to my database. Then i press the button to get the cover scans. For some movies they aren't  available. Therfore i'm scanning them in from my dvds and add them. I can contribute them, but they are always declined.

Can someone tell me why?
Das fünfte Element: Deluxe Widescreen Edition I56ACB68A4788FDB1
Pulp Fiction: Deluxe Edition I529AE33BE0237DE7
From Dusk Till Dawn: Deluxe Edition I69903723D82E83E4

The reason for thoose dvds above is:
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.
But i havent changed thoose information. i only added cover scans!

It says include the sources for your contribution which would be scanned from the dvd. That is where you got them, in other words you didn't download them from somewhere else, you scanned them yourself.

It says "especially" for cast and crew, it doesn't say "only" cast and crew.

yeah, just add the phrase "scanned the dvd cover myself" to the contribution and it should be ok.

If you were just adding scans to a profile which doesn't have any I'm sure Gerri would ok them if they were the correct ones??

I've just checked the first profile you quote and they do already have covers for download - try doing an image refresh on the title.

When you contributed your images did you not see an image comparison on the web page that popped up?

I noticed some odd behaviour recently. I added several titles using the add by title function and quite a few did not download cover images. I thought nobody had added them. However when I was looking through my online collection I noticed they were showing covers. The notes indicated they were available months ago.

Refreshing the profiles did download the covers.

After the switchover from Intervocative, images were accepted for a while without showing up in contribution lists (after acceptance) or contribution notes (ever). Also, when trying to upload, there appeared to be an image comparison, with a link that did not open.
So the images were there, but somehow also not. In the meantime, this behaviour appears to have changed, so refreshing profiles is worthwhile, but you have to do a manual " preview image changes" to see if anything is there, the relevant icon is not highlighted.

Keep in mind that if you submit a new scan that's only marginally better than the existing, it'll probably be declined even if it has nothing but yes votes.  I've had several like that. It needs to be significantly better.

This had nothing to do with being accepted or not. Scans were accepted, but did not show up in lists, just in individual profiles. Declined scans remained in the lists.

i have just deleted "from dusk till dawn" and added it new. But there is no picture available.
After that i used the option "download all images" and "refresh updated profiles from invelos" but there are no pictures at all.
Edit: I just unhocked the close option after completing downloading the images and saw that there is an error. But there is no detailled description of that error.

Is there a option that i can edit my contributions? Or do i have to to the contribution again (with the correct description, of cource)

I'm referring towards the comment where the scans were declined.

Beside everything else, this profile ist totally farked up: german title but locallity USA and SRP in US-Dollar, PG-13 ... this profile needs a culling.
Why not use 743215-990024 instead?
When I saw the profiles that came up for "das fünfte element" I wanted to cry, I think half of them is utter nonsense.

Crap, see above.

Luckily I didn't find From dusk till dawn, but I guess this one is as bad as the other two.

Mithi,

Your analysis offers a good explanation about why F1Database's contributions were declined.
