| | Posted: | | | | I've been a loyal user for several years. I tried others and still came back to the best. The one thing I would like to see is the ability to add movies not just from Invelos contruited database but also have the ability to add movie data info from amazon, imdb, or dvd empire websites. I find at times that I have to wait about a week or so before I can get the the movie info from the Invelos shared database. I don't like adding the info manually. And since I try to buy Fullscreen, that movie info isn't available. So I find myself having to change the upc code and sometimes the cover art to reflect the copy that I have. |

This is a USER created DataBase - which means that someone has to add the DVD profile to the database
IE you, or me, or whoever.
Some times this take a while to happen. There are so many DVD's released that there will be some that will get missed. Or that someone hasn't had time to add it yet.
There are some people who do add Pre-Release info to the system, taking info from online retailers. But this is not an everyday occurance, and usually on the more popular titles anyway.
However, we have to be careful what data we add - IMDB cast and crew data can NOT be added, as this is THEIR information, and for Invelos to use it, means that a Licence Fee is payable to IMDB. Who is to pay this? Not you. Not me... and to keep costs down, not Invelos.
This also means we cannot copy the info from IMDB and "pretend" we entered it from the DVD, as IMDB do "Spike" their info (Spellings, character names, just plain fake entries) - Note this is a common practice - most map companies do this too, so that they can prove they have been ripped of)
So, we have to take Cast and Crew date from the DVD itself. This takes time
I am afraid that you will just have to either wait, or grit your teeth and add the info yourself.

Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

| | Posted: | | | | Once you add a few titles, you come to realize that it's not that bad. Even more so when you do it in chunks. Add all the pertinent information now, add more stuff later, add even more stuff even later. |
