I don't know if anybody here knows what this film is, the only information I have is that there's a scene where some guys are ordering food at a restaurant and they have a whole section for carp, but they have misspelled "carp" every time as "crap".

Any ideas?

Second question:-

Is it worth watching?
They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care,
They pursued it with forks and hope.
They threatened it's life with a railway share,
They charmed it with smiles and soap

Wondering if the film's worth seeing - whatever it is.
They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care,
They pursued it with forks and hope.
They threatened it's life with a railway share,
They charmed it with smiles and soap

I understood the verbatim question, no problem there, but the sense eludes me....

Normally these kind of questions come from the desire to re-watch a movie seen before but only remembered in part. You seem to have never seen it at all, which makes me wonder why you're interested in it at all?

Sorry, my misunderstanding.

You're right - I've never actually seen the film, but I was talking to a guy who mentioned it and and could only supply me the details of that particular scene.  It intrigued me.
They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care,
They pursued it with forks and hope.
They threatened it's life with a railway share,
They charmed it with smiles and soap

Ok, I see. Can't help you with question # 2 either, though

But it was nice to discuss a case of misunderstanding and come to a solution in only four posts, as opposed to fourty pages

I also don't know what this film is, but it is more likely "crap" was meant to be crab rather than carp. Apparently it is a common mistake on oriental restaurant menus because some of those languages don't have the 'b' sound.
I tried googling it but couldn't easily find any relevant movie results.
