I recently bought a Chinese DVD from eBay with 2 movies (The Matrix and Shanghai Noon) on 1 DVD (single layer, double sided).

What I don't know for sure is how to contribute this one to the Profiler database?
Do I have to set this one as a boxset (i.e. with child profiles) or can I enter this one as 1 contribution?

I've tried to find anything regarding to this on the forum before I posted this question, but couldn't seem to find a thing about it...

The case has a UPC code (0 2519-2 0531-2 6) which isn't recognized within the database nor is the disc itself.

What I find on the WWW is not positive:
UPC: 025192053126 looks like a bootleg. So you would not enter this in the online DB.
For your purpose you could enter it manualy as a Boxset and treat each side as a separate disc
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

It's most definitely a bootleg.
Don't contribute it to the online database but keep it local.

You could add it as a boxset (that's what it is) by UPC and add the movies by Disc-ID in order to create 2 profiles for those.
You would thus create 3 profiles.

I would contribute this as one entry, no boxset. You can use dividers to separate cast and crew from the different films.

Edit:
If this is verified as a bootleg, don't contribute. You should contact the ebay seller.

Actually in general cases (not this case as it does look like a bootleg and don't belong in the database) any dvd with a movie on each side is a boxset... even says so in the boxset rules...

Box Sets" Containing More Than One Film

The term "Box Set" is used to define any release that includes more than one film. The main examples are:

    * Sets where each film is packaged individually, and held together in a package of some kind.
    * Sets where each film is on a separate disc, but not individually packaged. This includes gatefold Digipaks and 2-Disc sets in normal DVD cases.
    * Sets containing 2 films, one on each side of Dual-Sided DVD.

See the one I put in bold.

Thanks all for replying..
Well, yes... I completely forgot to mention this one could be a bootleg and I already had that idea when I ordered it from the Chinese eBay guy, but the case looked nice just for my collection. (as I already have the Dutch versions).
I won't even consider to put this one up in my personal collection, let alone I would put this one up @ the online database.

And yes, I also checked for the (false) UPC via Google and only found one hit regarding SPECIES METAL TIN Asian DTS.

I won't bother you again with these bootlegs. ;-)

Edit: text slightly changed by request.
