Wanted: List of countries (not general geographical areas) belonging to each Blu-Ray region |

| | Posted: | | | | Everywhere I look for a list of which countries belong to which Blu-Ray region, I can only get a list of general geographical areas. Wikipedia, for example, lists the following as belonging to region A:
North America, Central America, South America, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.
That is not nearly as cut-and-dry as it may seem at first. One example is Greenland, which is usually counted as part of North America, but belongs to Blu-Ray Region B and not Region A.
So... does anyone have a comprehensive list of the actual countries belonging to each region?

| | Posted: | | | | Well, yeah, I can break it down like that, but that's still not 100% accurate. The Greenland example was just to illustrate that using that method won't be foolproof, as Greenland is considered part of North America, strictly geographically speaking, but is not part of Region A.
Wake Island is another great example. I'm not sure what region that's in. Geographically it's located in Oceania, which is Region B. But it's a U.S. territory so it may be Region A.
Another example is French Guiana. It's actually part of Region B, even though geographically it's part of South America.
What further confuses the matter is that sometimes there's a political divide instead of a geographical, with some countries considered part of one are geographically, but another area politically. Like Wake Island.
It was in order to avoid all this confusion and detective work that I was asking if someone already had a proper list.

It's a US territory. They're going to be buying US products. So they'll have region A Blu-ray players and region A Blu-ray discs.
Do you imagine anyone there would accept someone saying "Hey, you're in Oceania! You can buy US players and discs! You have to buy Region B stuff!"
