| | Posted: | | | | I had contributed data and images for The Golden Compass and while the data was accepted, the images were declined. I looked and there were no comments (at all) so no mention of any reservations of the images. There was also no explanation.
Anyone have this happen and if so, any ideas of why something like this would be declined? |

| | Posted: | | | | I don't normally do the images so hasn't happened to me. But there is a couple of things I know of that will cause a decline.
First... Did you scan the image yourself? if you used images from the web... if there was any watermarks (site address, Copyright Material...) that will cause a decline.
If you scanned yourself... there has to be a significant improvement compared to what is there already. (If there is an image already in the database). | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | Yes, but the one's in the DB were obviously taken from either New Line's site or a DVD news site. The current front has the DVD logo in the corner, the actual case does not. Also, the current back cover is of the keep case not the slip cover (that too is a noticeable difference and obvious it's of the slip cover). Now, I didn't specify that my scans were of the slip cover so maybe that was why.

As northbloke said, it's better to always say in detail why your scans are better...even if it seems visibly apparent why they are. | | | | Corey |
