Is DC Comic a Production Company or just the Publisher.

It depends on the credit.  Marvel is both, so this can be both as well.  Can you give us some more details?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

As I said, it depends on how they are credited in the film.  I don't have the time to look at all my films, with DC characters, so can't give you a definite 'yes or no'.

If I remember rightly, DC Comics license out their characters, they don't have a production arm of their company like Marvel. So unless you have a credit that says something like "A DC Comics Production" then they wouldn't get listed in the online database.

Edit: I've just checked Batman Begins and although they get a graphic logo just after Warners at the beginning, they're not listed in the end credits among the distributors and production companies so in this particular case I would say no, they don't get a credit. However as Unicus says, other films could be different.

Way back when North's comment was certainly correct  and may well be today, I haven't paid that much attention. Since for our purposes the most recent live action DC heroes wouldn't have enough room to list DC anyway.

Don't have any to check for you, sorry. Can you tell us if DC Comics have any kind of credit? And if so, what does it say?

In that case it sounds like a no, don't credit them.
Generally you're looking for certain phrases:
"A DC Domics Presentation" or "DC Comics Presents" means they're involved in the distribution and so can be listed under studios.
"A DC Comics Production" or a "© DC Comics" (but NOT if it mentions characters) at the end means they were involved in the physical production of the film and again can be listed under studios.
If they're on the back cover of the DVD with something like "Distributed by DC Comics" then it means they were involved with the distribution of the DVD and again can be listed (as long as there's room).
Anything else pretty much doesn't count in terms of studios I'm afraid.

I just wonder what DC Comic has done other having the Characters, since Distributed by Warner Home Video and it usally a Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Television Animation or Warner Bros. Family Entertainment and now Warner Premire. Isn't DC Comic just the company with the Trademark for these characters.

Maybe, maybe not. That goes back to the licensing point that north talked about.

As for your Superman: Doomsday it must be a different UPC # from mine. I can't see it for voting, based on what I do see it looks like DC Comics is a legitimate Studio in this case, but like I said I can't actually check it right now.

So if it says DC comic in the Opening Credits and only DC Comic not characters from DC. Its a Production Company. Just DC Comic with Logo.
