| Posted: | | | | Added standard numbering to the episode dividers - as per the newly updated rules on TV-profiles, and also to match the dividers in the "crew" section. Also added a few "credited as" names - I re-checked each and every "common name" using the NameVariants plugin, followed by a check of the new "credited as" database, a Google search, and finally by checking at various on-line resources like allmovie.com, bfi.org.uk, imdb.com, nndb.com, tcmdb.com and wikipedia.org. I might add that the end result I'm contributing here has already been accepted in the U.K. version of this profile (which I also own), under EAN 5-039036-030779. | Posted: | | | | Added birth year for Ron Frazier, as documented in the forum's pinned "List of Accepted Birth Years with Documentation"-thread: Ron Frazier (1939): American actor in films like 'D.A.R.Y.L.' and 'Head Office' and a number of TV show appearances: - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0292623/ - http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/individual/170372 - http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/participant/participant.jsp?participantId=65624|0&afiPersonalNameId=null Ron Frazier (????): producer on films like 'The Wrong Guys' and 'The Super'. Some sources, including IMDb.com, call him Ronald E. Frazier, but he is literally ALWAYS credited as "Ron Frazier": note that there isn't a single "Ronald E. Frazier" in the CLT: - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0292626/ - http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/individual/155643 - http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=2:90459 Evaluate this contribution Profile Contribution Approved Sep 16 2008 1:03PM |

| Posted: | | | | The current profile contains eight crew entries for "Kenneth Peach, Jr. credited as Ken Peach, Jr.". Further research has shown me that this use of the "credited as" feature is no longer necessary - have a look at Invelos' own "credit lookup" tool results: Ken Peach, Jr.: 14 entries, Kenneth Peach, Jr.: not a single one! Since "Ken Peach, Jr." clearly is the most-credited form, he can simply be entered AS CREDITED into this particular profile. | Posted: | | | | The current profile contains a cast entry for "Charles Stavola, credited as Charlie Stavola" in episode #2. Further research has shown me that this use of the "credited as" feature is no longer necessary - have a look at Invelos' own "credit lookup" tool results: Charlie Stavola: 82 entries, Charles Stavola: only one entry! Since "Charlie Stavola" is the most-credited form, he can simply be entered AS CREDITED into this particular profile. The same goes for "José Flores credited as Jose Flores" in episode #3 (11 vs. 3 entries), "James T. Callahan credited as James Callahan" in episode #20 (85 vs. 27 entries) and "Robert G. Denison credited as Robert Denison" in episode #21 (16 vs. 3 entries). All four actors can now simply be entered AS CREDITED. | Posted: | | | | The first episodes had MTM Productions, not Enterprises, as the Studio. Corrected Disc Descriptions to show what episodes were on which side of the 4 discs. Added Costumes By and Make-Up Artist for each episode from the disc credits. Corrected the title of Episode 1 from the disc credit. I have the credit in my local as Janet DeMay [Janet Demay], so it shouldn't be reading it as changed to just Janet DeMay with no "credited as". It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| Posted: | | | | The current profile contains 44 "Costume Designer" credits. There is, however, not a single valid credit that qualifies for the "Costume Designer" credit anywhere to be seen in these 22 episodes, so they have to go. Additionally, I'm propagating the common name shift for editor Philip Neel. While both name variants are used in this season, the current profile uses "Philip Carr Neel" as the common name: there are some entries for "Philip Carr Neel", and then some for "Philip Carr Neel [Philip Neel]" as well. Per the CLT (114 vs. 29 titles), "Philip Neel" is now the common name, so I've switched them to "Philip Neel" and "Philip Neel [Philip Carr Neel]". | Posted: | | | | The current profile contains a cast entry (ep. #15) for "Arnold F. Turner, credited as Arnold Turner". Further research has shown me that this use of the "credited as" feature is no longer necessary, probably as a result from more and more IMDb-mined data being corrected. Have a look at Invelos' own "credit lookup tool" results: Arnold Turner: 62 titles, Arnold F. Turner: 37 titles (partly still IMDb-mined data). Since "Arnold Turner" is now the most-credited form, he can simply be entered AS CREDITED into this particular profile. Also added missing role name for Erik Holland in ep. #19. | Posted: | | | | Corrected Side B disc descriptions from "Episodes X & Y" to the standard "Episodes X-Y" format that is used throughout the datase, including the "Side A" disc descriptions and including the profiles for the other 'Remington Steele' season sets - and it that's not enough, "Episodes 5-6", "Episodes 11-12", "Episodes 17-18" and "Episodes 21-22" is even exactly the format that you'll find printed on the four discs in this set themselves. Overview: corrected misspelled episode title "Licence to Steele" to "License to Steele", to match how it's written both on the DVD artwork as well as in the actual, on-screen credits.
