| | Posted: | | | | As with lots of the fields in DVD Profiler that are handled differently in box set profiles, a different approach also is used for the 'Studios' field in that we only list the DVD distributor. In this case: Paramount Home Entertainment. Why? As per the contribution rules, we are told to strip most data from box set profiles, and move them to individual "child profiles" for each movie. For instance, we're not allowed to list cast or crew members, audio tracks or subtitles for any or all films in the set to the box set profile. Similarly, we should also not include any theatrical release studio or production companies in the 'Studio(s)' field, because they only apply to the individual movies, not to the (otherwise empty) box set. Simply put: Paramount Pictures and Lucasfilms make movies, not box sets. Only DVD distributor Paramount Home Entertainment had anything to do with the box set. The other studios have their rightful place in the child profiles for the individual movies, together with all other data that doesn't belong to the (otherwise empty) box set profile, but belongs to one of the actual movies. Using items that are already mentioned in the child profiles are redundant.
