I got a profile declined but there is no reason for it. It's for the profile of Live Wire and since there is an unrated version on there, I removed the rating (changed to NR) and rating details per rules. Here is my exact explanation:

"- Removed rating and rating details per rules as an unrated version is available. "

The only thing I can think of is I should've added "as an unrated version is available on the disc."

Anyway, who do I contact or should I just resubmit? I got 5 yes votes and 0 nos (not that it means anything). Or... am I in the wrong with the change?

The change is right per the Rules... probably just a mistake on the side of the screeners. I would just resubmit.

+1

To play safe, I'd quote the whole paragraph:

"Use the Rating shown on the DVD cover. When there is no rating, or an unrated version of the film on the disc, use the NR rating. Use the “Adult” rating for all Adult films."

With the sheer number of profiles that are being submitted currently, there is bound to be an error by the screeners every now and then.

Unfortunately, this means that you just used up your Lotto luck.

Are there rating details present even though it is unrated?

If so it may be for removing the rating details.  I do not have the title in question but I have a number of Unrated DVDs/DBs that do have rating details present in the box with the "NR" logo. In those cases the rating details are still correct and should be included.

Ok, I give up. It was declined yet again. 6 yes votes. 0 no votes and no explanation. Here were my notes for it:

- Removed rating and rating details per rules as an unrated version is available on the disc. Rules on this: "Use the Rating shown on the DVD cover. When there is no rating, or an unrated version of the film on the disc, use the NR rating." There are no ratings attached to the Unrated version on the back cover

Source: DVD

Who exactly is doing this because obviously this is wrong (at least provide an explanation).

Does the unrated version have a longer time?

I say send an e-mail to Gerri she's good at fixing that sort of thing.

Doesn't matter which is longer, does it? Per rules if there's an unrated version you go with NR for the rating, correct? (Not being sarcastic, just asking)

You are, of course, correct and this should have been approved.  I have made similar contributions in the past, without any problems, so I am not sure what is going on in this case.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

The only reason I can think of, and it's nitpicky to decline based on it, but I should've said replaced R rating with NR. Not sure of any other reason... Oh well, sent an e-mail to Gerri so we'll see.

Thanks guys, wanted to make sure I wasn't completely insane.
