All "common names" have been carefully researched: first and foremost by checking against other credits using the NameVariants plugin, followed by a Google search, and finally by checking at various on-line resources like allmovie.com, bfi.org.uk, imdb.com, nndb.com, tcmdb.com and wikipedia.org. | | Posted: | | | | The current profile has a crew entry for "Neil A. Machlis, credited as Neil Machlis". Further research has shown me that this producer is far more often credited WITHOUT his middle initial - like he is here - than he is with it. "Neil A. Machlis" credits really seem to be (very) few and far between. Other "Neil Machlis" credits can be found by the dozens. A few (personally verified) examples, other than this movie, are 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey', 'Dr. Dolittle 2', 'Garfield: The Movie', 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles', 'Postcards from the Edge', 'Primary Colors' and 'What Planet Are You From?'. Rather than entering him in all those profiles as "Neil A. Machlis, credited as Neil Machlis", I suggest we just use "Neil Machlis" as his common name. That way, the use of the "credited as" feature in this particular profile is no longer needed - he can simply be entered AS CREDITED. | | Posted: | | | | Re-audited cast and crew data: everything taken exactly as credited from the film credits. Any common names as per the CLT. Overview: no changes, but... look here. Due to some "behind-the-scenes" changes in DVD Profiler v3.6 (if you’re interested: it’s about the order of the HTML-tags for bold/italics) the contribution system perceives some difference between the local and online versions of the same overview.
