I am posting this again here in the Feature Requests forum, as this really should be fixed in the next version of DVDProfiler. Like Berak states, the current ratings and their descriptions in Profiler are the Norwegian cinema ratings, NOT the DVD ratings.

The DVD ratings are simply:

A = Tillatt for alle
7 år = Aldersgrense 7 år
11 år = Aldersgrense 11 år
15 år = Aldersgrense 15 år
18 år = Aldersgrense 18 år

The current ratings comments in Profiler are meaningless and incorrect, as they imply that the movies can be watched by people who are younger than the rating age. This is correct for theatrical showings, when accompanied by an adult -  but for home video/DVD it is illegal to sell or rent a DVD to anyone below the rating age:

Translation: Norwegian Film Law states that a video/DVD cannot be distributed - i.e. sold or rented - to anyone who is younger of age than the rating age on the video/DVD.
