How come the first 50 DVD's aren't numbered?

When I look at my collection online, the first 50 aren't assigned a collection number.
Is this because I started out unregistered for the first 50 discs and then registered it?
Is there a way to fix it?

Thank you.

Go to Collection/Reassign Collection Numbers...
Read through the options and decide what best fits your needs, based on how you number your collection.

I, for instance, number mine by title and do not have numbers assigned to child profiles. Therefore, I select Reassign all collection numbers, leave Assign where set to "None" unchecked and select title for my Order by.

Hope this helps.

That helped some, thanks.

Now there are only four unnumbered but there are a lot of duplicate numbers for different titles.

I didn't see an option to not assign numbers to child profiles?

There is none, sorry.

Only solution so far:
1. Renumber complete collection
2. Remove collection numbers from child profiles
3. Custom renumbering with unflagged "Attach where none exists" (or similar)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

That happens at profile-level. Highlight a profile and press Ctrl&p will give you this:

Now just click "None". Here you also can manipulate the "Count as"-Number if you e.g. don't want children to be counted.

I tried Reassigning collection numbers, this worked somewhat but now when I upload the collection online I'm seeing the same number assigned to more than one DVD, unless I'm misinterpreting it.

Mithi, I did what you said and it appears the multi disc sets are already set to be counted as one, thankfully, I wouldn't want to have to do it one at a time!

Now I'm really confused, highlight click ctrl+p and every disc is showing up as the same collection number, or not depending on sort order.

Also on many the of discs when I click the thumbnail on the left it doesn't show up on the right in the cover image box, these discs also seem to be the ones that have the same number as the disc next to it.

Well I restored my database with the backup I made right before renumbering the collection and now it's back to the 50 unnumbered online, but there aren't any duplicate numbers now.
The total stayed the same so I don't know what's going on, perhaps those 50 were just filled in with random numbers.

The Thumbnail view seems to be OK now too.

That sounds like a job for ... Bicycle-Repairmen.... eh, wrong movie, Database-repair.
Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Profile Database
Try a COMPLETE renumbering afterwards, that should yield the wanted result.

As for the online-collection: create an new, empty database (File -> Open Database -> New Database) and upload that one. Now switch back and upload your correctly renumbered collection.

OK, I'll try that as soon as I get a chance, maybe tonight.
I'll keep my current backup just in case of course.

Thanks!
