I have successfully installed the app, and downloaded the database (with 1500 titles) on my HTC One X.
Had to do it by using USB cable to my pc, and then download the online database. If I tried wifi, the download always stopped, before it was finished. After I finally got the database on the phone, I am able to update the database by using wifi, so I am happy now.
My wife has also bought the app for her phone, a HTC One V. There I was not able to dowload the online database eiter by using USB, or wifi. I always stopped..
On her phone it was successfull to download the database by using USB, and instead of using the online version. I had to download the database from my pc.
My thought was the to use wifi to download updates later, but if I change connection type from local pc to online, on her phone, it seems like it's starting the dowload from the begining.
Is it not possible to switch back and forth between downloading from the pc, and downloading from invelos?
Am I doing something wrong, since I have so big problems getting the database downloaded?
I am using a 70Mbps broadband connection and connect the phone to a 802.11N router, so I thought this should work :-( |

So for the initial download of the database disable all automatic update functions of your device (incl., but not limited to, newsfeeds, mail-clients, etc.) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
