I just installed the Android app.

I was having problems connecting to DVDProfiler on my PC.

I had everything setup correctly - I'm a network/sys admin ;-)

Every time I tried to update the DB on my Nexus 7, it would not get very far before hanging.

At the same time DVDProfiler on the PC would also hang more often than not, or at least become very sluggish.

I tried many different settings. None made any difference.

I run DVDProfiler on a Windows 8.1 PC, with the DB sitting on a network share from a NAS.

On a whim, I copied the DB to a local drive, restarted DVDProfiler, and now it works perfectly. It's syncing the DB as I write this.

I'm sure I'll get chastised for keeping my DB on a network share, but I don't usually have any issues with that.

Wanted to post in case anyone had a similar experience.
