If you're lucky enough to live near a Meijer's (US), and don't have your turkey yet, check out this deal.  One caveat: you need to purchase at least $30 in addition to the turkey, same transaction, or the bird is full price.

Good luck! Remember to put your frozen turkey in the refrigerator at least 3-4 days before you intend to cook!  (God, I'm old.  I almost said "icebox".)

I guess you missed the three day sale that ended yesterday.
Same conditions, but the turkey would have been 38cents per pound.

Didn't miss it.  Got a very good turkey.  I guess different parts of the country have different deals.  Some areas are renewing the special.

Good for you.

Yes it's a good deal.

I saw that they (and by they I mean in general, and not Meijer) that they have fully cooked smoked turkeys now. I think it was from Butterball. And I think I saw it in an Aldis ad. Wonder if it's any good.

What's weird, is that I have bought both Butterball and Sara Lee turkey breast from the deli and I like the Sara Lee over the Butterball. To me it had better taste and seemed to have a texture more close to an actual turkey. You know like you can see the grain of the turkey in each slice.

Butterball was still good, but Sara Lee had it beat imo.
