| Posted: | | | | Hello, I just want to know, if there it is possible to use a barcode scanner to add new DVDs/BDs into the collection. It would be funny to use a hardware scanner instead of typing ne barcode numbers manually Can somebody help or has an idea if that somehow works? Greetings and happy new year, Daniel |

| Posted: | | | | As far as I know, you can use any Barcode Scanner within here. I have a Voyager USB scanner, and it works with any program I throw at it. Used to have a passthrough PS2 scanner, and it worked OK. It should just be a matter of drivers for it. My USB works natively under XP, Vista and 7.
Be aware that AFAIK if you get one of the 'Collectorz' Cat scanners, you have to 'de-claw' it to get it to work. |

| Posted: | | | | any scanner that acts as keyboard input (most) will work.
If you can scan a barcode into notepad and the text appears it will work. Some scanners may require a wedge software that will come with the scanner and/or be downloadable from the manufacturers website.

The cuecat works great, and if you are a bit brave it's very easy to declaw one yourself. *goes to look for his cuecat* LOL.. I see that the first post was made in December | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. | | | Last edited: by EdwinK |
