| Posted: | | | | I have (finally) finished my award file of the Finnish Jussi Awards. It includes the award winners from 1944 and also nominees from 2000, both till 2010, all awards in Finnish and exactly "as credited" during the time period. The Finnish award file can be grabbed here. As this award file is in Finnish, it may interest mainly the Finnish users of DVDProfiler. There are several foreign winners of Jussi Awards and Diplomas of Merit though (films, actors/actresses and crew members), so if anyone is interested, I'll make an English version of the file and will ask Tom to take it on his site. So, if you are interested, please let me know? | | | Markku |

| Posted: | | | | I would like the English (international ) version. But as it seems to be much work, wait if others are also interested. | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

Since nobody else was interested, there's no reason to offer it to Tom's site. You can download the file here: Jussi Awards. Despite of the non-existing interest (even among Finnish users), I will still probably inform of the future updates of both of these files here. Thanks for your interest. | | | Markku | | | Last edited: by Pistol Pete |

For one, it does not crash, it just displays an error message because the import failed. Or is it different for you? Also you have to unzip the file first and import the included text file At least I assume this is the error, because I only get your error message if I try to import the zip file.

I'm not (that) stupid.... Same thing happens with Jussi_Awards.txt and Jussi-palkinnot.txt. |

Both files worked fine with me when testing. I'll have to check if something has happened when I uploaded them? Have you got the latest version of Tom's plugin? I just downloaded Jussi-palkinnot.zip from the link I have provided above, extracted the file and imported the Jussi-palkinnot.txt file to DVD profiler 3.6.1 build 1392 using Tom' s Cinematic Collection Viewer Plugin version 1.5. It imported fine, no error message. I didn't test the Jussi_Awards.txt file with DVD Profiler, as I don't want to have DVD Profiler show the awards twice (both Jussi-palkinnot and Jussi Awards) and haven't figured out how to remove just the other from profiler. I have imported the Jussi_Awards.txt file to Tom's Cinematic Collection Viewer 2.3 build 1234 with no problems though, so I presume it should work with DVD Profiler as well. Maybe VirusPill can confirm this? If I remember correctly, the error message you are describing might have something to do with a new database schema and could be fixed simply by creating a new database and importing the award files there. Hopefully Tom can help with this? | | | Markku |

Hopefully Tom can help with this? Could be. I also remember that there was such an issue, if the existing database was a rather old version. Usually I write the plugin to be able to manage all schemas, but I think there was one case where this didn't work.

Quote: That one always imports without any problems. This is the reason why I switched to XML format, because the txt format causes a lot of problems (mainly because of different code pages on different PCs). Maybe Pistol Pete can offer the award as XML (export as XML in CCViewer) until I make an update.

It is ok, of course, I just didn't offer these to you, as nobody was interested.
