| Posted: | | | | Could you please add additional cast roles (like Co-Producer, Associate Producer,...) in listing so we can easily pick them, instead of writing them down in 'Custom Role' text box. Sometimes there are many of them, and it gets really annoying to type roles for each and every of them. You can still have your policy of not updating online database with these. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree (and I hope the staff will move this to the Requests forum so that it will receive the attention it deserves) While there are several common titles that could be added, there are so many that it would start to get confusing if all were added by default. How I believe I would do it is this: in place of the "Other" radio button under the Role frame (since it's the only selectable button and not really needed to be visible) place a list of user-defined additional roles that can be added to or removed by the user, and double-clicking on any one moves it to the "Custom Role" text box. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.
He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk. |

| Posted: | | | | At the very least it would be nice if that field "remembered" what you had previously typed, so if you start typing something similar it suggests the full word (a bit like predictive text on a phone I suppose). |

(And I've changed the title, VirusPil, thanks for the tip!) It really puzzles me why are those roles left out. For an example, DVD Profiler supports Executive Producer, but not Co-Producer even thou the latter one is as important as the former. Quote: Co-Producer A producer who performs a substantial portion of a creative producing function, or who is primarily responsible for one or more managerial producing functions. (link) Even the Associate Producer producer seems to have an important role in production of a film: Quote: Associate Producer An individual who performs a limited number of producing functions delegated to her/him by a producer, under the direct supervision and control of that producer. The term may also refer to a person who would qualify as an executive producer of a project, but for the fact that (s)he acts on behalf of a production company which is subordinate to another one on that project. (link) Line Producer seems to also play important role in film's production: Quote: Line Producer A producer who is responsible for managing every person and issue during the making of a film. Line producers only work on one film at a time. (link 1) ( link 2) It would be really nice to see those in options. |
