I've just upgraded to new pc with Windows 7, and the date format for release date etc is per US format e.g. mm/dd/yyyy, but i'm pretty sure it followed xp settings on old pc to australian/european std of dd/mm/yyyy. How do I change it, have already check system settings and they are correct.

It's a problem in Win7. They didn't get American and UK English entirely separated.

Try the following: Set your Win7 installation to USA and perform a restart. Now set it to the correct locality again and perform another restart.
It should work now.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
