| Posted: | | | | Okay, so I got a 32 gb itouch from my shop (will trade in my 8 gb and keep the 32 if I can make the app work). How ... or even can ... I sync my collection? I do not have any wireless internet in my home. I have cable internet connected to my computer via an ethernet cable. I have the itouch connected to the computer via the cable that comes with it. Can I sync it with this? If not, is there a way for me to sync my desktop profiler collection to the itouch app? If there is, please explain it in extremely simple terms - I am not a hardware tech person. I saw Ken's post, once, that I thought said you could do it without wireless. But then he used technical words and my brain shut down. Help? | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | For now you can only sync wirelessly (i.e. WiFi or 3G) with DVD Profiler running on a PC system as host. Unfortunately, since the iPod Touch only has WiFi, you have to wait until syncing with the online collection is implemented in a future version of the app.
But WiFi routers aren't that expensive anymore. You can get a fairly good one for about 20€ (~ $26).

...after installing Profiler on the laptop of course. Great suggestion! Didn't know this works with all wireless network cards...

You can set your desktop to be connectible from the Internet (make sure to select a strong password and use the Test button to ensure it's set up correctly). Then, the touch can sync from any Internet wi-fi location. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

It looks like my option for sync is what Ken said ... I could use the wi-fi at the Panera near where I work.
Or, I could just enter everything manually. That might just be easier. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |
