| Posted: | | | | I would like to see a section in the forums or on the site that is a how to section. Have it cover things like:
How to create a manual profile What to do if the DVD isn't in the DVD and how to contribute it How to backup/restore your database How to upload you collection How to submit a contributio change
Things like that to help out new users to the program. | | | Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected. |

Skip Yeah, but you really don't want to tell new users to go to someone else's site to learn how to use the program. | | | Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected. |

| Posted: | | | | I think Skip is specifically referring to the Wiki on Doug's site (DVD Profiler Community Knowledge Base). Writen by Users, for Users. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I think Doug's site is a great resource. But I also think it would be more valuable if it was hosted here. At the very least it would eliminate threads asking how to do something followed by a link to Doug's site. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. More people will know about it and write, and more people can actually see it and learn. The Wiki on Doug's site is great though, lacking a place here. I am sure, if Ken would create a Wiki or similar place here where we can write stuff like that, Doug will be more than happy to somehow provide the existing data to Ken to avoid a start from scratch... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. This is DVD Profiler. There is no other. I could point you to the things you should be reading, but why should I do your work. (Sorry, channeling Skip there, for giggles) |

Ken (and anyone else) is more than welcome to lift content wholesale from it, as long as credit is given to the author(s) of the pages.
