What did you think of that? |

Well you couldn't really because to be anywhere near feasible, the screen caps would have to be highly compressed, which would defeat the purpose. You'd also have to have rules about capturing the exact same frames for comparison purposes, ensuring everyone was using the same capture software with the same settings, and so on. It's a nice idea in theory and would be extremely useful if it could be implemented without compromise; but in practice, I think the sheer volume of image data it would generate and the complex logistical issues would make it unworkable. That is not the function of this program. There are plenty of sites around the internet that do precisely that, but then they aren't Collection mangaement programs.

Skip What he said, I can post a link or 2 if it's within the rules (sorry, haven't read the forum rules just yet but figure if I don't cuss, post links, talk about boots or post pictures of porn I'll be within them ) Of course the sites rarely have exactly what discs you're looking for at any given time anyway, so you might be better off just asking about a title here and everyone who owns whatever version can chime in on how they think it stacks up. If it's horror-related, I can probably help and tell you which disc to get. For example, I've owned every Hellraiser 3 disc except the new Paramount R1 as the ABUK is the end-all. Same with From Beyond. Dragon is best, although the upcoming director's cut from MGM should crush them all. Right now there's a custom from the MonstersHD broadcast that looks 3-5X better than the Dragon disc even when downconverted to dvdr. For American Psycho, the LG R1 is the best I've seen. If you mean just various versions in the same region, you're usually safe with the newest 16X9 WS, except for Halloween 25th which lost all blues but was sharper, so that could fall on personal tastes (I'm sticking with my LE and laserdisc for the commentary). |
