| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I recently upgraded to Windows 11 (don't ask...).
Now when I try to update the DB or edit an entry I get the following error message:
tblCollection: Cannot modify a read-only dataset
I checked security settings, etc., but as I have no idea which file it references, I am stuck. I also tried to repair/rebuild the DB, no luck.
If I run the app in Admin mode I do not have the issue.
Any idea?
Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | Check the security settings for the databases folder. If your user name is not enabled for full control. edit the settings and add your user name. Select the option to propagate to subfolders and apply. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Thank you guys, Sorry for the delayed response, I was traveling and no access to computer with DVD Profiler. I rechecked (I had done it first), but I have Full Control on the DVD Profiler folder and all subfolders. My account is also an Admin account which all have Full Control. Any other idea? Never had such type pf problems before and I know a thing or two about computers and OSes |

Thanks all uninstaled the doc folder or the entire program? thanks for the good news too. I uninstalled the program, then renamed the leftover folders in Documents and Programs (in case I may need some content). Reinstalled the program, restored backup and all was good. I deleted the old folders once I was sure I had my reports, etc. The issue may have been sparked when I moved away from a Windows online account to a local account after installing all my programs (thank you for Windows 11 making it hard to do a new install with local account...) |
