| | Posted: | | | | I use the PC and IOS version. I add items to the PC version, sync online (upload) and then sync ios (download) to my ipad. i have items that are in the pc version but do not appear on my ios version after sync....any ideas what could be causing this?
Update: I noticed that when i log into my database online i can see the items that are not showing up on the ios version. So they are uploading online but not downloading to my ipad? Hope this helps. | | | | Last edited: by andmakeyourstand |

Does the same thing happen when you upload from your iPad and then download to your PC? Third, you are much better off syncing your iPad directly to your PC. Have you not tried this? | | | | Last edited: by nanoron |

Have you not tried this? #1 yes, I have a full backup on my PC. - #2 it doesn’t happen for all entries. It only is a handful of entries that are missing that aren’t appearing on my iPad. And I don’t wanna upload my iPad and then download onto the PC because then I run the risk of overwriting my entire collection. Since the PC version has the most accurate database. It’s what’s on my iPad that is missing entries. - #3 I tried this, but for some odd reason I could not get it to work. Does anybody here have some clear instructions on how I could synchronize between iPad and desktop? And what I’d like to do is when I make the sync I’d like to download from the PC > iPad. I like to make all edits and entries on my PC and then synchronize my iPad to that. If that’s possible. Thanks for the reply =) | | | | Last edited: by andmakeyourstand |

| | Posted: | | | | I was referring to backing up your DVD Profiler database so you can restore it later.
Check your DVD Profiler settings on your iPad and make sure "local network" is switched on.
Also make sure your Windows PC local network is set to PRIVATE. See below on how to do this.

In addition, make sure you typed the server name in properly on your iPad. It is at the bottom of the Windows DVDProfiler window. You can use the IP address instead, which is also at the bottom of the window. Try them both. One may work while the other won't. If you have an iPhone, see if you have the same problem connecting. It may help you diagnose your problem. Finally, make sure DVD Profiler is open and running on your PC when you try to connect. |

| | Posted: | | | | Here is a tutorial on setting up syncing. https://www.invelos.com/iPhone/DPConnect.aspx?page=0
Syncing updates the most recent data to both systems. So if you make a change on your PC it will make that change on your iPad and vice versa. | | | | Last edited: by nanoron |

I deleted the database from my iPad, took the information you gave me and did a sync with my Windows version of DVD Profiler. Worked like a charm. Now I can see everything on my iPad where I was missing things before. Thank you so much for your help on this….it is 100% resolved. | | | | Last edited: by andmakeyourstand |
