The first thing I think of.....is sex.

But then I'm always thinking of sex.

I have to admit, I have the sickness. The wife gently suggested that we go over the collection and see if we can cull it down. I almost had a nervous breakdown, all the while knowing that it might not be a bad idea.

I'm an addict and the first step is admitting it....Can I get a hug?

My wife wants me to cut down, not to remove titles, but to stop buying them. She opposes the spending of money unless it is for our daughter. If our daughter wants a DVD of Rebecca, it is up to me to find one (has anyone priced either the OOP Criterion edition or the OOP Anchor Bay version of Rebecca recently? I could buy five to ten DVDs off my wish list for the lowest-priced selling one on eBay.).

So she resents all the new ones, not the ones we have.

There are excellent quality releases of Rebecca, Notorious and Spellbound available in Australia that I believe are based on the same restored print as the Criterion OOP editions. The best part is they cost a pittance. See:

and

The only downside is the lack of extras providing that you have PAL compatible equipment.

I found a (not-pirated) Korean version on eBay. I do have PAL (and region-free) equipment, so I can watch UK DVDs. Thank you, if I had not already found the $18 one, I would have gladly purchased your recommendation.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

What can I say... I have to keep this looney house membership card... So, another one.

Me too. But I have to rip it to the server before it goes on the shelf. Then I realize I need to move over an entire row of movies, then shift some onto the next row, move some down, then squeeze one up just to get said movie in proper alphabetical order.

The other missing one is ...

Rushing home, entering into DVD Profiler, placing on the shelf ... then refreshing DVD Profiler to see if any updates have come through for the profile .... then repeat last step at 8am, 10am, 2pm ....

Same here; I always say I'll put it with the other unwatched DVDs but I don't know where that pile is any more...
