Does anyone have a solution for getting sticker residue off slipcases that doesn't involve tape (doesn't work) or this horrendous product Goo Gone which has ruined three of my slipcases? Goo Gone made two worse, and stripped the color completely out of the third one.

Someone suggested using lighter fluid in some other thread here. I haven't tried it though, so proceed at your own risk.

Just be sure not be to smoking at the time or you might just have a bigger problem on your hands.

My wife has had great success with getting the actual stickers off that way...by using a lighter.
"I am Andrew Ryan and I am here to ask you a question:
Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?

No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor.
No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God.
No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something
different. I chose the impossible. I chose…
Rapture."

Meritline you can buy 1 dvd case for like 99 cents of a 50pack for $9 which is not a bad idea if you need to replace the cases.

I said it earlier in the thread but you probably missed it. Use Eucalyptus oil. It is of made from Gum leaves (Eucalypts). My wife put me on to it. They used it extensively at her work to remove sticker residue from thousands of items in an upmarket retail situation. It never leaves a trace, won't damage anything and also makes a good antiseptic for cuts and abrasions.
