Hillary I'm not sure I've ever seen an official no from Ken or Gerri (the team) in answer to this question. With so many users spinning, rationalizing and actively (it seems) looking for loopholes to exploit, if I were Ken why would I want to magnify that by adding more programs. After all, it's always the usual suspects spawning these quarrels, and just because there's another program those people might have fun screwing with, it won't add to the hours of time available to do so. I’m doing research on which software to get deeply involved with. Its not the money, it’s the time you invest, and you want to get the right stuff.
Not only would it make a lot of sense to have software that does CDs and movies and maybe books too, it would make sense to systemize things so that the software for your book library works the same way as the sifware for your DVD library. |

Audiophiler looks to be the best CD db program even through I don't really care for any of ther cd programs myself. It took less the 4-5 days for the new topic on CD Profiler by the way! |

| | Posted: | | | | I don’t think Sony likes their music buyers any less than their movie buyers, and the Digital Mellenium Copyright Act is the same for all media. So it’s really the individual contributers who are doing all the work to build up the database for DVD Profiler.
And the difference with Audiophiler seems to be that they depend on a commercial database (Gracenote), right?
So is it really that the software is not as good for CDs or more that the community is not there?
Is the data for CDs at Audiophiler not good, or just not complete ennough?
What’s so much better, for you, about DVD Profiler? |

I think if you stack up Profiler against ANY other software package for DVDs , you will find the competition to be wanting in any number of areas.
