Interview: a conversation between two or more people, where questions are asked by the interviewer to obtain information from the interviewee.

Conversation. Questions. Answers.

But what are 'Interviews' in Profiler's definition?

Example:

The back-cover says "Interview", and the 'Feature' is available through a separate menu option.
But, the cast-member, sitting in his interviewee-chair, only answers nonexistent questions.

'Interviews' or not?

Interview, usually these features show the question or a brief one-line summary of what the actor was asked in a still frame before the actual interview sequence starts.

Even if it doesn't, the actor was still asked something by someone, otherwise it would be an uncalled for monologue noone in their right mind would think of taping.

It's an interview. The dialogue from the interviewer was just edited out.

i agree; even if you don't see the interviewer or hear the question, the interviewee is answering some question.

I'm not really convinced yet. Couldn't answers without (showing the) questions be regarded as statements, = 'Featurettes'?

If the back cover calls it an interview, that is how it is entered.  There is no need to define it any further than that.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

As per 8ballMax and Unicus... just because the questions are edited out I still agree it's an interview... and also if it says Interview on the cover/description.

I agree with the others... this would still be considered an interview.

Since this has come up, I've got another example. Say there's just a chap in a chair answering questions that we don't hear, as described above, but also included are clips from the film/show being discussed (just footage from the feature, no behind-the-scenes), is this still an interview or does this move into featurette territory?

Still an interview IMO, as the snippets from the feature are only accompanying imagery.
