Hmm, a good reason not to buy a BD player until next year?

Unless you pick up a PS3. It's supposed to have a 2.0 update this summer.

"How many consumers would like to be able to chat with family members in different cities over the Internet while they watch Ratatouille the week it comes out?"

Amazing idea, why didn't someone think of this before... oh wait... they did... years ago.

Hopefully 2.0 will bring something fancy, but if it's just a desperate attempt to catch up I could do without.
Regards
Lars

The latest Harry Potter also had something like this on HD DVD.

Personally speaking, it's bad enough that my own family members talk during a movie.  I certainly don't want to invite more people to distract me from the movie.  In fact, I prefer to watch movies by myself to cut down on the all the talking during the movie.  I just don't get how this is a "feature".

Normally, I would agree. But I just read the DVD review of "Nigel Tomm's Hamlet". Now I can't wait for the Blu-ray version with the chat feature.

Until the Blu-ray release comes around, you can probably get by with a phone and a sheet of paper.
