Hey guys

I would like to contribute the german profiles of Trinity Blood and add it to my wishlist ... but the UPC of the first chapter is already in the database with a different title.
Is that a problem? I can't use the DiscID because i do not own the disc. So is there any chance that I can contribute this?

The UPC is: 4-047528-003119

And this is also used for Basilisk...

Nope, you can't add the profile using the UPC, as that would overwrite the existing profile if you upload it.

You could however download the exsiting profile, modify it to represent your DVD and keep it local only. But a display in your online collection won't work this way either. If you also happen to have the currently already existing profile in your owned, ordered or Wishlist that won't work at all.

All you can do is use the disc ID. If you don't own the DVD yet, you can't add it to the online db.

P.S. Just like you've already been told in the German forum

Are these the same locality? - if so, then no you can't use the UPC. If not, then change the locality to Germany and if this is a new combination of UPC & Locaility then it won't overwrite the existing profiles.

the online collection should always match what you have on your PC except for the cover images which are always taken from the main Invelos database.

Just as an aside, I once bought a group of anime dvd's on ebay.  When I received them and went to enter them into DVDP, I found that 3 of them had the exact same UPC.  I was able to determine pretty quickly after that that they were bootlegs and get my money back.  I'm not saying that this is the case  here, but it is quite common with anime releases to find bootlegs for sale.  Just wanted to throw that out there in case you were concerned about purchasing bootlegs.
