| | Posted: | | | | In the movie Roots episode 3 there is a actor with the name Allen Williams and in Night Rider and Magnum, P.I. but this actor is not the same and i can't find nothing about the Allen Williams from Roots only at Night Rider and Magnum, P.I. can sombody tell me if this actor is the same or a birth year for one of the Allen Williams.???? |

| | Posted: | | | | The more prolific actor appears to be Allen Victor Lee Williams III (See: here) His credits are here. I cannot find much on the actor from roots. He is only credited on one website that I can find so it may have been a bit part. I cannot find a date of birth for either actor. |

| | Posted: | | | | Oy, no birthdate on either one and Allen Victor Lee Williams III appears to nearly always be credited as Allen Williams. The answer appears to be fairly obvious but it does go against what we are supposed to do vis a vis Common Name.
Beyond this I think I will stay out of this one.

The CLT would dictate Allen Williams is the Common Name, he never appears to have been billed as Allen Victor Lee Williams III, yet there is no birth year, thus the only method to separate the two is as you mentioned or hinted at. Allen Victor Lee Williams III (credited As Allen Williams) , but that is against the rules so....  Personally speaking, ruben I have no problem with it, if Ken and Gerri agree.
