Hello.

I'm trying to export my collection to my phone, which is a HTC Touch Diamond. I'm running DVD Profiler 3.1.1 on Vista, with the newest drivers for my phone and the latest DVD Profiler Mobile.

This is the error i get:

In Vista it's not called "Active Sync" anymore, but Windows Mobile Device Center. Can this be the problem?

DVD Profiler Mobile requires Activesync 2.0 be installed in order to sync.

But how will i come around this problem? It's not called ActiveSync in Vista, and when i try to install it, it says that ActiveSync can't be installed on Vista.

Perhaps then it's a permissions issue .

But do you have Mobile Device Center installed on the problem machine?  (Link above in Deckard99's post).  If so, does the Mobile Device Center display when you connect your device?

Per the readme, mobile requires:

- Microsoft Active Sync version 4.2 or higher
  -OR-
- Windows Mobile Device Center 6.0 or higher (on Vista)

You're right of course. My bad. I was confusing .NET Framework 2.0 with Active Sync. Active Sync of course should be 4.2 or higher .

I have no problem connecting and syncing with the same setup as Ruben-E using nothing but the software on the CDs supplied with the HTC.

Sorry for the long wait, i kinda forgot about this thread, as i'm synchronizing using Windows XP in a dual boot setup.

I have the latest Windows Mobile Device Center installed on the Vista partition with the latest phone software and the latest DVD Profiler version.

@ Dr. Killpatient, it connects fine when i just want to add or removes files in regular explorer mode. The problem only occurs when i want to synchronize in DVD Profiler.
