I like DVD profiles, becouse its a grat program and easy to use, but I miss one thing. If I have market one DVD as loan to... its not market in the program list. I miss a alarm when the loantime is exspired.

Right-click on the header and add the column "Loaned to". When the name becomes red, it's overdue.

For an automated alert you could use Mediadogg's plugin "DVD eMail". This plugins sends an eMail if the DVD is overdue. In your case I would send the eMail to myself.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

That's a good suggestion! Interesting use of the plugin.

Any idea if it would be possible to export the reminders to Outlook or a similar calendar app?

Unfortunately, the triggering of emails is not automatic in DVDeMail. That indeed would be a new feature request which, if desired, you could post over in the Plugins Forum, DVDeMail thread.
