I do not share this trail of though, although it doesn't hurt much, it is annoying to have to click on something only to get a message that there isn't anything there. An additional icon to indicate that the online collection is privet wouldn't go a miss.

To Skip: if people make bad changes, let's vote them down rather than spinning conspiracy theories. To the actual topic, yeah, this should be removed or grayed out.

Does this mean that the display of the icon has nothing to do with whether it's public or private?  Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that someone who doesn't want his collection to be public would also not want the icon displayed?

I am also NOT Contributing, Bob. My collection remains private and No Contributing for exact same reasons that I am trying to limit my participation in the forums. Your attack was unnecessary.
