Quoting TheMadMartian:
Quote:
If the credit had been "Directed by Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor," I would have entered them as individuals with no 'credited as'.  But they aren't.  Neveldine/Taylor is their professional name.

"Neveldine/Taylor" is not an individual credit, it is a dual credit.  Once again, the Rules state for crew credits:
Quote:
List individual credits only

If the credit is not for an individual it cannot be entered.  Now, if we parse that credit as two individual credits seperated by a "/" then it can be contributed, with each credited by last name.

Scott:

Turn off the tape recorder. You have now repeated your mantra THREE times. I will repeat what I said in order.

Interseting argument. not sure whether i would buy it but interesting argument

Interestin argument. But the martian presented a compelling argument...I am not buying it...but it is still interesting.

So you need to come up with a counter to martian's argument not just keep repeating yours, because it doesn't wash..

I think I am a little confused

If the credit said Directed by John Doe and Jane Smith (or John Doe & Jane Smith) then;
  John Doe as Director
  Jane Smith as Director

If the Credit had Said Directed By John and Jane Doe Then;
  John Doe as Director
  Jane Doe as Director

If the Credit was Directed by John Doe/Jane Smith then;
  John Doe as Director
  Jane Smith as Director

If the credit had been Directed By Doe & Smith (assuming we know who Doe and Smith are) then;
  John Doe  (Doe) as Director
  Jane Smith (Smith) as Director

If the Credit is  Directed by Doe/Smith (assuming we know who Doe and Smith are) then;
  John Doe (Doe/Smith) as Director
  Jane Smith (Doe/Smith) as Director

There seems to be something amiss here.

According to what a lot of people are saying, the only example in my past post that is correct is the last one.

Specifically (by what people are saying)  the credits should be as follows

If the credit said Directed by John Doe and Jane Smith (or John Doe & Jane Smith) then;
  John Doe (John Doe and Jane Smith) as Director
  Jane Smith (John Doe and Jane Smith) as Director

If the Credit had Said Directed By John and Jane Doe Then;
  John Doe (John and Jane Doe) as Director
  Jane Doe (John and Jane Doe) as Director

If the Credit was Directed by John Doe/Jane Smith then;
  John Doe (John Doe/Jane Smith) as Director
  Jane Smith (John Doe/Jane Smith) as Director

If the credit had been Directed By Doe & Smith (assuming we know who Doe and Smith are) then;
  John Doe  (Doe & Smith) as Director
  Jane Smith (Doe & Smith) as Director

If the Credit is  Directed by Doe/Smith (assuming we know who Doe and Smith are) then;
  John Doe (Doe/Smith) as Director
  Jane Smith (Doe/Smith) as Director

Strictly by the rules, which means there are a number of profiles that need to be changed...

The only ways they could be individual credits

  2 separate entries
    Directed By John Doe
    Directed by Jane Smith

  1 credit and 2 names on seperate lines
    Directed By
      John Doe
      Jane Smith

  1 credit and multi names seperated by a known space
      Directed By
        John Doe            Jane Smith

No, I don't think so.  I'm not here to convince you of anything, I'm here to put in my two cents and let people use it as they see fit.

Agreed.  I wanted opinions and, while I don't agree with all of them, that's what I got.  Thanks to all that participated in a mature manner.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

It wasn't an option because that isn't their common name per the CLT.  If it were, that is how I would have entered it.

It appears the CLT has three separate "actors", so three common names, one for each of the individuals, and one for the "group". So entering Neveldine/Tayler directly (no As Credited needed) seems perfectly okay.

"Neveldine/Tayler" aren't Actors, they're Crew.  And the rules for crew credits are different than the rules for actor credits.

It's two guys, credited as Neveldene & Taylor or Neviedene/Taylor.  It's a composite credit, not a collective credit.

So Mark Neveldine [Neveldine] and Brian Taylor [Taylor].  If you use the entire composite credit, then you're crediting one guy as the other one.  That's ridiculous.  Both names are in there; it's totally unlike The Pang Brothers or other collective names.
