Custom collections aren't useful for much if they keeps my DVDs from showing up online. I understand that they won't be supported online in the immediate future. Can this be set up so that custom collections that are part of owned show up as such online? I created a collection for my main shelves, which my my online is basically empty now.

From Tools->Edit Collection Categories, check 'Include contents in owned collection'.  If that is checked, the contents will appear as part of your owned collection online.

Additionally, all your profiles are uploaded and downloaded so those using DPO to synchronize between computers will find that their entire collection is synchronized, even types not included in the owned collection.

I posted this topic in the beta discussion forum: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=440622

I haven't gotten an official response, just a couple of responses telling me they're not having the same problem.

Didn't work, at least not for me. Include contents in owned collection was always checked (and still is), but any profile within a custom category is still excluded from my online.

Now it also appears (as I posted in that other thread) that when I have a profile in a custom category, when I try to refresh updated profiles, I get an error message stating there was a problem accessing a profile, and to try and repair the database. This only happens when there's a profile in a custom collection, never any other time. And since the data repair tool still doesn't automatically select a data directory (for me at least, also posted in that other thread), that message does me absolutely no good.
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

Just posted another message in that thread in the beta testing forum. Thought I'd post it here as well since this thread has gotten a response and the other hasn't at this point.

Weird.

The error message has stopped showing up as of now.

My online still excludes any profile in a custom category though.

I did a refresh however, and the profiles that were contained in custom categories still had an update come through for them, even though they're not listed in my owned collection online.

Still, I probably won't use the custom categories if I can't get this figured out. Not having those profiles in my owned collection online isn't a HUGE deal, but it's a sticker in the use of the custome categories for me.

I do include my custom shelved collection as part of owned and it shows up that way in the program, but not online. I didn't report this in beta testing because I assumed the website just wasn't updated with the 3.6 stuff yet.

I have 4 custom collections...DVD, Blu-ray, TV on DVD and Animation...and all my titles show in my online collection under the 'Owned' tab.  Custom collections do not show, but they aren't supposed to.

Something funky is going on. As of trying one last time to update my online collection, all the titles in my custom categories that were being excluded from the online section, are now there.

Whatever happened, however it happened, it's good for me.

I think it's fair to say that the "whatever" in this case goes by the name of Ken.  Thanks!

Kathy tells me she can only see 186 titles through friends. I should have about 1800 visible.

My collection doesn't seem to update properly when I have all the custom categories set to "Include contents in owned category" either.  They show up in the software but not online.  Does it have anything to do with the fact the DVD Profiler Online function shows them as all being in the Other category?
