Just a note today I purchased REST STOP The Collection from the $5.00 Bin At walmart. Case was shrink wraped but no security tape on case. Came home loaded it into my database and then just opened it no disc empty case this is a first for me since I started buying DVDs. 10 years ago.

Dyslexia must have hit me because I thought I read that you had bout the DVD 10 year ago and just opened it today to find no DVD inside

I just never thought about it. Just Passing buy the Bin seen the title picked it up and finished my shopping. Now I going to check it out before leaving store. It was one of those cheap cases they use now.

When I worked for BMC of San Francisco, we were gathered together on the sales floor one Saturday morning for a pep talk by the man who oversaw the importation of all new Rolls Royces west of the Mississippi. His was a quick talk, stressing the importance of customer service: that often vehicles, even a Rolls, could have faults. He stated clearly that among all manufactured goods made in the world, more than 3% were flawed when shipped. That bolts could be too large or small, nuts the same, and so on. That it did not matter whether Rolls manufactured the parts or they bought them from suppliers whose quality control was as tight as Rolls. If 100% of everything were perfect, that beyond damaging a vehicle, all a Rolls would need to last a century would be gas, oil, lube, filters, points and spark plugs. Nothing would loosen, nothing would become overtight and belts would last for peoples' lifetimes.

I bought the first season of Twin Peaks when it first came out. When I opened the shrinkwrap when I got home from the WalMart, it had two disc threes and no disc two. I returned the set, their customer service person sent someone to bring another copy of the set and insisted we open the set to ensure the discs were correct. We joked that it would have two dosc twos and no disc three, but the new set was correct. He and I recognized that we live in an imperfect world and errors occur. He was as pleased as I was to have the situation fixed and for me to own a correct box set.

Problems are not a problem if everyone works to make things right.

After having the same thing happen to me, I now rattle every case to see if I can hear the disc inside and I open them in the car before I go home.
