I am also new also. I found the benefit of tags while building my first report.
In fact I uploaded the report I made "Movie List - Indented Child Profiles (v 1.0)". An example of nested panels to create multiple condition decisions.
So tags can be very useful since you can display based on their value. You could simply create two tags, one for color and one for B&W |
