| | Posted: | | | | Corrected three combined role names, using spaces around the "/". This is not a question of personal preference, but it's taken straight from the actual credits. They're credited as such on screen (for instance: "Spider-Man / Peter Parker" instead of "Spider-Man/Peter Parker"), so why not reflect that in DVD Profiler? The same is done in EAN 8-712609-032857. Also a few other corrections... The current profile has "Donnell Rawlings, credited as Donnel Rawlings" - I checked, and this isn't true: he's simply credited as Donnell Rawlings, so the use of the "credited as" feature isn't necessary. The same goes for "Roshon Fegan, credited as Roshon Fegam" - again, the credit actually is "Roshon Fegan". Also, "saved" in "Boy/Girl saved by Spiderman" is written on-screen with a lowercase "s", and J. K. Simmons is actually credited as J.K. Simmons. | | Posted: | | | | IMHO, Dan Sharp and Herb L. Smith should not get "sound" credits. The rules give five "accepted" credits that qualify for the "sound" credit: "sound", "sound recording", "sound recordist", "sound supervisor" and "recorded by". Additionally, the rules point out that this credit is "primarily used in older films." This is obviously not an "older film", but more importantly, Chris Sidor is NOT credited with one of these five named credits. Instead his credit reads "re-recordist" (note that he is also NOT credited with the regular re-recording mixers, but with the "foley" and "ADR" crew - people we also do not credit in DVD Profiler. Based on all this, I feel entering Dan Sharp and Herb L. Smith as "sound" is factually against the rules (their credit doesn't match the five allowed credits), nor is it the intent of the rules to list them (as this isn't an "older" film, and all "sound" categories are already catered for: the profile has a production sound mixer, a sound designer, a supervising sound editor, and three re-recording mixers). Further research has shown me that this use of the "credited as" feature is no longer necessary - have a look at Invelos' own "credit lookup" tool results: Brianna Lynn Brown: 197 entries, Brianna Brown: 135 entries (with still quite a few incorrect ones among them).
