I have waited for this a long time, now i am planning to buy me a PDA mainly for Profiler...
Since I dont need a lot of overly fancy features, I am interested in the HP IPAQ rx4240

64MB Ram works with a 2200 disc collection?
Resolution of 320(hor)*240(vert) ok?

Don't forget that you don't have all this RAM for your own use, some of it is used by the PDA itself.  For 2200 DVD's I think you will need extra storage like SD card or something.

I have just under 2000 profiles on my ipaq. Now granted I have (a) increased the image quality from 75% to 90% and also include the back covers, but my total size is now 140mb.

So, dropping the back covers would reduce that to 80mb and then dropping the quality back would probably put it somewhere near 40mb. As Touti said, you'll need some other storage. I'm using a 512mb SD card.

Yeah. Storage is not the problem.. SD Card of course... but not sure about the Ram usage of Profiler Mobile when the db is on the card... would suck for me to buy a pda and then get the error message "not enough ram to open db" or something.

The widescreen question was the tricky one I guess.. not sure if Profiler Mobile supports it

According to activesync, dvd profiler mobile takes 931.6kb. So not a big footprint.

And you have to install it into memory and not on the storage card (in case you've not read that).
