I'm looking at an actor named Lee E. Cox (according to IMDB). He has 3 credits:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1345909/

I have confirmed his 3 credits as:

Head of State (Lee E. Cox)
The Wire: Season 5, Episode 1 (Lee Evertt Cox)
The Wire: Season 5, Episode 2 (Lee Everett Cox)

I assume the second credit is misspelled. But what do we do in these cases? In the profile for The Wire: Season 5, he is currently Lee E. Cox and credited with the other names.

Lol, reminds me of somethings I've seen. I don't get all worked up about linking, especially lower tier, if you will. But I suppose the best temporary answer, not in the rules btw, might be for now default to the earliest credit for common.
ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Dude has 3 appearances: 1 movie, 2 TV episodes.  Each has a different credit, which is what Rizor says he verified.

I believe Ken's ruling in a case such as this is that first we go with the number of unique titles.  In this case there is 1 each, giving us a tie.  In the case of the tie, I remember Ken's ruling being the number of profiles, which makes it Head of State, which makes it Lee E. Cox.

When he appears in something else then perhaps an actual common name can be attributed.

This is how I understood it also. 1 season = 1 title credit. No matter how many incorrect original title entries there are for that 1 season or child profile disc id's.

Exactly it's the way it works since forever, no matter what Skip can believe on this...

When I check the statistic for David Duchovny by exemple DVDP tells me that he is credited in 13 profiles not 168...

Okay, this sounds good enough for me and is the way it's handled already. I'm redoing the cast for The Wire: Season 5 and wasn't sure how to credit him. I actually contributed the cast the first time so I got it right back when I had no idea what I was doing!

By that logic a multi movie disc counts as one, that's just not rational. There are lots of multi film discs, some may have completely separate casts but some may have repeapting cast. One John Wayne from my own collection comes to mind. Yes, the program sees a single profile, but that doesn't make it one profile. The program counts profiles, not films, this has always been true. But....

Not arguing with you. I have a different opinion that is valid. Remember, I also don't like the single season profile concept at all, too much data to wade through. I prefer disc level profiles for tv and they are valid and contributable.

I'm not the one who did the rules

Yes it does, the only way to seperate the films is to do manual profile and you can't submit those... It's the reason why I don't contribute my multi-movies sets as I profile them at the film level and not the disc level.

Yes they are, but it's the same profile.

There is a difference between 1 season of a TV series and multiple films on 1 disc. It's by titles of films not DVD wrappings. That's why sometimes you have to go through the CLT results and figure out how many different titles there are.
